Nucleus

Nucleus is an exclusive group of Fortune 500 company executives who discuss emerging technologies, companies and investments. Nucleus is powered by POPins—a time-limited social network for corporations to gather informations and opinions from the staff level.

Tethos was tasked with creating a new brand identity for Nucleus. The process began with a logo that incorporated the POPin "speak bubble", had a nod to the atomic display of a "nucleus" while also hinting at a "secret" or exclusive society.

Due to the exclusive nature of the brand, we chose to never include the full name—"Nucleus." Instead, stationery includes only the logo, done in a copper foil. We also created a wax seal for envelopes.

As the organization creates regular presentations of new technologies, companies and investments, we created a logo "sting" for use at the head and tail of videos. This was done using 3D software, creating a logo that assembles—again referencing the visual presentation of a nucleus.

The final opener can be seen here, with custom music and sound effects.

Membership to Nucleus is exclusive and nothing says this more clearly than the metal membership cards Tethos created. The cards have laser cutting, engraving, gloss ink and more—to create a metal card like no other.

In addition to the metal membership card, we also created business cards for Nucleus. These are "printed" on black paper using copper and black foil.

Avata Intelligence

Avata Intelligence (formerly Amorway) is an Artifical Intelligence company working to create predictive software for multiple applications, including military, police and healthcare. Tethos was tasked with creating the brand from the ground up, starting with the naming and logo creation.

After logo creation, Tethos created a full corporate suite, including a business card, letterhead and envelope, as well as templates for white papers and data sheets.

This was followed by a full redesign of the website—which included custom imagery, a full icon set and varied page templates.

The site is fully responsive, working equally well on tablets and phones.

After completion of the branding and website redesign, Tethos established a full brand guide for Avata—including color, typography, imagery and more.

Creating a Web Presence for a Comedic Presence

Creating a Web Presence for a Comedic Presence

STAND-UP COMEDIEN, ACTOR, WRITER AND PRODUCER, CRAIG SHOEMAKER (ALSO KNOWN AS THE LOVEMASTER) CAME TO TETHOS TO BUILD A WEBSITE.

You might know Craig Shoemaker as the unmistakably engaging, iconic, baritone-voiced character, The Lovemaster. Maybe you were one of millions who saw him in his decades of successful stand up comedy. Or you may have seen one of his specials aired on Showtime, HBO, ABC, CBS, NBC and just about every other major network. Perhaps you saw him in a TV show or movie like Parks & Recreation, The Bold and The Beautiful, or in Scream 2?

But what you may not know is that Craig is dedicated to using laughter as a healing modality. And to this end, he asked Tethos to help create a website in preparation for his new endeavor "Laughter Heals."

After our standard discovery processor and working out a detailed site structure, we set out on designing a website which would focus on Laughter Heals while also encompassing the full "Craig Shoemaker" brand.

One of the first steps was creating both a simplified version of his existing logo to be used through the site and also to create a 3D rendered version of his logo to replace the two dimensional one that he had been using for many years.

With this as a key element for the home page, we designed the rest of the page. Our effort here was to create a single page where all important information could be gleaned—without having to navigate to a different page. And thus recent videos, upcoming tour dates and information on his podcast are each featured.

In addition to an upgraded design, the site also featured certain built-in functionalities.

Integrated Twitter feed, Facebook page likes and pod casts were all part of the site along with a schedule of all upcoming tour dates.

The site also includes built in e-commerce for all of Craig's retail items.
